Cold pressing | What is cold pressing?
In the cold-pressing process, the final stage of production – namely curing – takes place in a sealed chamber. This can be achieved in various ways. During the pressing process, the top of the mould is sealed with a counter-mould and pressure is applied to it. This results in a product with a high glass content, high strength and a smooth surface. Depending on the temperature at which this pressing takes place, the process is referred to as cold pressing or hot pressing. In cold pressing, a standard cold-curing resin can be used.
