Surester® is V-Sure's proprietary resin range, developed through years of experience in the composites industry. The range was designed as a full-fledged alternative to traditional polyester resins, without the use of styrene.
Within the Surester® range, Surester® Teraf is the preferred choice for professional composite manufacturers. This styrene-free laminating resin was developed for applications where fast processing, excellent fibre impregnation and high productivity are essential. The resin is suitable for hand lay-up, spray-up processing and filament winding, and is used in the production of tanks, piping systems, technical laminates, industrial mouldings, machine housings, swimming pool components, infrastructure parts and a wide variety of glass fibre reinforced composite structures. Its excellent wet-out properties ensure rapid and uniform fibre impregnation, resulting in strong and durable composite products. For specific manufacturing processes, Surester® Teraf is also available in a UV-curing version, enabling even faster and more efficient production.
Surester® Teraf cures tack-free and can be used seamlessly in combination with standard gelcoats and topcoats. The resin contains no styrene, but incorporates a specific solvent that promotes optimal processing and rapid fibre wet-out. This allows professional composite manufacturers to benefit from the processing characteristics expected from a high-performance resin system.
For applications where odour reduction is important, V-Sure also offers Surester® ECO Resin. This variant is not only styrene-free but also virtually odourless, making it particularly suitable for workshops, educational facilities, model making, scenic construction and other environments where working comfort is a priority.
