Modulus of elasticity

The modulus of elasticity is a measure of the elasticity of a material. It is a material-dependent constant that indicates the relationship between the relative length change of the material and the applied stress, below the elasticity limit. The modulus of elasticity indicates the slope of the first part of the stress-strain diagram.
