Basalt fibre
Basalt fabric is a reinforcement material that has a very specific woven structure. Basalt is made up of fibres that originate from solidified lava rock.
Thanks to the woven structure and the natural properties of basalt fabric, you obtain a laminate with increased strength. This makes it easy to process basalt fabric with polyester, epoxy, vinylester and, of course, surester.
The most recognisable property of basalt fabric is its increased flame and fire resistance. Basalt fabric is available in various dimensions and structures.

Multi-axial reinforcement fabrics consist of multiple layers of parallel basalt fibres, laid in different directions. The individual layers are then stitched together to form a uniaxial or multi-axial reinforcement fabric.
