How do I install a PU cast floor?
Cast floors have become a part of our interiors in recent years.
They fit both in a country style and in a sleek modern interior.
What is a PU cast floor?
A polyurethane floor, or PU floor in short, is a synthetic casting floor that can be applied over virtually any substrate. Polyurethane is a liquid synthetic material that is often used in paints and coatings.
Since the sixties it has also been used in industrial casting floors. Thinking of the floor in an underground car park.
Why a cast floor?
Many people choose a casting floor because of its numerous advantages. They are not only durable and easy to maintain. With a cast floor, there are also no annoying seams where dirt and dust can infiltrate. Because they are seamless, cast floors emphasise the space and create a sense of serenity in the interior.
Moreover, PU cast floors provide good soundproofing and are ideal for people with a house dust allergy because they do not attract dust or dirt. Another advantage is that a casting floor can be perfectly combined with (existing) floor heating. There are also virtually no limits when it comes to size and shape when laying a cast floor.
By using different colour tones, you can fully adapt a cast floor to your personal taste. For instance, you can create marble effects or a concrete look.
With all these features, a PU cast floor is suitable for every room. Whether you are looking for a casting floor for your bathroom, living room, bedroom, kitchen or garage, a PU cast floor will always fit.
